Our team donates time, talent and money to a variety of community causes and the largest line item in Banterra's marketing budget is dedicated to simply giving back to our communities. Sponsorships & Donations

We provide financial support and volunteers to a variety of community organizations and events throughout the communities we serve across five states. If you have a cause that you believe could use our support, all you have to do is complete either our sponsorship request or donation request form. Complete the proper form, print it and bring it in to your local Banterra office for our team to review.

Community Reinvestment Act

The Community Reinvestment Act was created to encourage banks and other financial institutions to meet the credit needs of their entire community, including low and moderate income individuals, small businesses, and small farms consistent with safe and sound banking practices. CRA is designed to encourage banks to help rebuild and revitalize communities through sound lending and good business judgment that benefits the banks and the communities they serve.

Further, CRA provides a framework for depository institutions and community organizations to work together to promote the availability of credit and other banking services in low- and moderate-income communities. CRA has encouraged banks to open new branches, provide expanded services, and make a variety of community development loans and investments. In addition, CRA has encouraged banks to provide substantial commitments to state and local governments and community development organizations to increase lending to underserved segments of local economies and populations.

Economic Development

From entrepreneurs and small business owners to larger commercial development, Banterra makes a point of committing to the economic development within our communities. In order for our communities to grow, it requires buy-in, and Banterra wants to be a driver that helps build our communities.
