Volunteering Time To Our Communities

We believe it takes more than financial donations and support to make our communities a better place. That’s why Banterra employees volunteer their time to support the organizations that make our communities so special. Why do we do this? Because we believe when we support others, we all rise. If you are in need of volunteers for your event, contact Banterra to see if we are available to help.

Community Reinvestment Act

The Community Reinvestment Act was created to encourage banks and other financial institutions to meet the credit needs of their entire community, including low and moderate income individuals, small businesses, and small farms consistent with safe and sound banking practices. CRA is designed to encourage banks to help rebuild and revitalize communities through sound lending and good business judgment that benefits the banks and the communities they serve.

Further, CRA provides a framework for depository institutions and community organizations to work together to promote the availability of credit and other banking services in low- and moderate-income communities. CRA has encouraged banks to open new branches, provide expanded services, and make a variety of community development loans and investments. In addition, CRA has encouraged banks to provide substantial commitments to state and local governments and community development organizations to increase lending to underserved segments of local economies and populations.

We are committed to serving consumers, businesses, and communities in all geographic markets where we have a presence. As a company and as individuals, we share the hopes of our neighbors for a better place to live and work.

Economic Development

From entrepreneurs and small business owners to larger commercial development, Banterra makes a point of committing to the economic development within our communities. In order for our communities to grow, it requires buy-in, and Banterra wants to be a driver that helps build our communities.
