Tell Us About Yourself

I was born and raised in Harrisburg, Illinois. I have lived there all but two years of my life. I met my husband, Shawn, in middle school, though we didn't get together until 2010. We have now been married for over 16 years. Between us, we have two grown kids, Jordan and Dustin, along with a one-year-old Belgian Malinois named Max. We also have three beautiful grandkids, Clay (12 years old), Carsyn (nine years old) and Peyton (nearly four months old).  Jordan and her family live close by in Harrisburg, while Dustin is in the Army and lives in Fort Drum, NY.

What Is Something About Yourself That Would Surprise Us?

I used to be a licensed scuba diver after I graduated high school, and I am a closet John Denver fan.

What Is The First Concert You Attended?

I saw Daryl Hall and John Oates in seventh grade. I went with my sister and her husband, along with his daughter and a couple of friends.

What Is Your Favorite Sport?

My favorite sport is football. I am a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan, even though they are doing horribly this year.

What Music Do You Enjoy Listening To?

Eighties hair bands are all we listen to. I try to make it to several concerts a year. This year we have made it to Tesla, Night Ranger, Journey, Ted Nugent and Motley Crue, at least I think that is all.

How Have You Grown Personally Or Professionally While Working At Banterra?

I started out as a part-time teller in Harrisburg and became a full-time teller after about a year. Around two years, I moved into a Deposit Operations role at our corporate office, where I did a little bit of everything. I started out with Input and Checkback, and eventually worked with Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) as well. From there, I moved to the Overdraft and Reconciliation departments. The Overdraft department has now become Exception Processing, and the Reconciliation department has been phased out. In my current role, which rotates responsibilities, I work with non-sufficient funds (NSF) processing, Unpostables, and chargeback (CBK) returns, and I handle account adjustments.

Surprisingly, I love the challenge of adjustments. In addition to my day-to-day responsibilities, I am also serving my second year as a Banterra Brand Ambassador.
