Tell Us About Yourself

I am married to my best friend, Jason. We have been together for 26 years and will be celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary in May. We have a beautiful daughter, Jezlin, who has recently made us empty nesters. We love to travel, camp and cheer for the Minnesota Vikings. My motto in life is to live every day like it's the last.

What Is Something About Yourself That Would Surprise Us?

There are a few things that may surprise you. I was born in Pasadena, Texas in route to the hospital and delivered by my mother's neighbor who happened to be a paramedic. In high school, I participated in track and field. My junior year, I placed 1st in high jump with a height of 5'1", claiming the city champion title for Reitz High School. To date, I have been to 19 different NFL stadiums to watch the Minnesota Vikings play.

If You Could Meet Anyone In The World Dead Or Alive, Who Would It Be and Why?

Jim Carey, because he's hilarious…DUH.

What TV Show/Movie Are You Ashamed To Admit You Love?

I’m not ashamed by any means, but Andy Griffith and I Love Lucy are definitely a weekend go-to. They bring back some good childhood memories.

What Music Do You Enjoy Listening To?

I am pretty wellrounded when it comes to music. I tend to lean towards country, but can get down with some old-school gangster hip hop. It really just depends on my mood.

How Have You Grown Personally Or Professionally While Working At Banterra?

Since starting at Banterra Bank in 2018, I've experienced tremendous growth both personally and professionally. Through Banterra's support, I enrolled in the “Achieve Your Degree” program and was able to attend Ivy Tech where I earned my degree in accounting, fully funded by Banterra Bank, an opportunity I am incredibly grateful for.

I also participated in the Career Track program, where I gained valuable leadership skills, team building techniques, and took part in meaningful self-reflection that has shaped how I lead today. That program also helped catapult me into my current position as an Associate Branch Manager. Over the past three years, I've had the privilege of serving as a Brand Ambassador, allowing me to work closely with our Marketing department, engage deeper with our communities, attend events, and highlight both employees and customers.

I am truly thankful to work for a company that not only talks about investing in its people, but actively follows through, providing the tools, opportunities, and support needed to succeed.
