Over the past two years in this position, Jacob has continued to support branch teams with dependable service, practical knowledge, and a commitment to helping others succeed. Tell Us About Yourself

My parents were in the military, so growing up we moved all over the United States. Eventually we settled in Harrisburg in 1999, and I graduated from Harrisburg High School and Southern Illinois University Carbondale. While at college I met my wife, Tiffany. That continues to be the best thing that has ever happened to me. We have been married since 2019 and currently have a very sassy cat named Tater Tot.

What Is Something About Yourself That Would Surprise Us?

I was born in Heidelberg, Germany in 1990. It is the same town and hospital that United States Army General Patton passed away in. Also, in my free time I really enjoy building model kits.

Favorite Travel Spot?

Anywhere with mountains. We took a family vacation to Glacier National Park and Yellowstone years ago, and Glacier is without a doubt the most beautiful place I have visited. I hiked several trails with my family, and the most awe-inspiring trail was Iceberg Lake. I haven't seen anything like it since and would love to go back.

What Is The First Concert You Attended?

I first attended Linkin Park in Nashville, Tennessee around 2015. I went with my best friend, and we sang so much that we completely lost our voices for days.

What Music Do You Enjoy Listening To?

Honestly, I enjoy a bit of everything, I just love good music regardless of the time-period or genre. If you look at my "Liked Songs" on Spotify, you will find a variety of music. If I had to say who my favorite artist is right now it would probably be Ghost. Their new album is perfect and last year we got to see them in concert.

How Have You Grown Personally Or Professionally While Working At Banterra?

Banterra has given me many opportunities for personal and professional growth. I originally started in our Customer Care department and eventually was promoted to supervisor. Since then, I have been a float Relationship Banker, a Senior Relationship Banker, and I am currently a Branch Support Specialist.

Banterra offers an amazing program called “Achieve Your Degree” designed to help full-time team members achieve their associates degree. I was able to take advantage of this to continue working on an associate’s degree in business.
