The unbearably hot days are finally behind us so it’s time to enjoy fall and all the fun activities that come with it. It can be hard to decide which activities to partake in, so we have compiled a list of some of our favorites to enjoy this fall. Grab your flannel and get ready to have some fun.

Visit A Pumpkin Patch

Whether you are an adult or a kid, pumpkin patches can be a great way to spend some time enjoying the crisp, fall air. You can also grab some pumpkins to take home to carve or use as decoration.

Get Lost In A Corn Maze

Getting lost in a corn maze is a classic fall activity that the entire family can enjoy. Let the kids get lost and you can follow closely behind or work as a team to find your way out, but don’t forget to grab a map to help you.

Rake A Pile Of Leaves

Grab a rake and make a giant pile for the kids to jump into as you tidy up for fall. This is a fun way to clean your yard and enjoy family time together. Who knows, maybe the family dog will enjoy prancing in the leaves as well.

Carve Pumpkins

Nothing says fall quite like a carved pumpkin on your front doorstep. If you don’t want to get dirty or make a mess, try decorating or painting a pumpkin instead.

Go On A Hayride

Grab your favorite warm beverage and try going on a hayride. If you want a little fright, you can even try going on a haunted hayride.

Bake Cookies

Baking cookies in the shapes of leaves, pumpkins, scarecrows, etc., is a fun way to enjoy a fall activity indoors. This is a way to let your creativity flow and decorate some delicious cookies.

Our communities across Southern Illinois, Indiana, Missouri and Kentucky are filled with fun ways to enjoy a fall day. Have you decided which fall activity you and your family want to participate in? We hope these ideas help you have an enjoyable fall season.
