Tell Us About Yourself

I was born and raised in Southern Illinois and still reside here today. I graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with my Bachelor of Finance and went on to complete my Master of Business Administration at Murray State University. I love to spend time with my family and friends outside of work. My two-year-old labradoodle, Jetta, is very active so we spend a lot of time outside playing and enjoying the weather when it is nice.

What Is Something About Yourself That Would Surprise Us?

In college, I was a Collegiate Facilitator for the National 4-H Healthy Living Summit for two years. The first year took place virtually due to COVID but the second year was in Washington, D.C. I previously attended this summit in Washington, D.C. as a 4-H Healthy Living Ambassador representing the State of Illinois on two different occasions.

Do You Have A Favorite Quote?

“God is still writing your story. Stop trying to steal the pen. Trust the Author.” – Unknown

What Is The First Concert You Attended?

My first concert was a Newsboys Christmas concert at The Carson Center in Paducah, Kentucky.

What Is Your Favorite Family Tradition That You Still Do Today?

My favorite family tradition is going to Christmas Eve candlelight service every year and having orange rolls for breakfast on Christmas morning after we open gifts as a family.

How Have You Grown Personally Or Professionally While Working At Banterra?

I have grown both personally and professionally during my time with Banterra. I started as a Community Banking Intern and learned about the importance of customer service in banking. I also got to shadow lenders, branch managers and team members in marketing to see how markets come together to work as a team. After completing my internship, I became a part-time Concierge Banker Float which led me to the Paducah market where I decided to stay full-time. Along the way I have learned the importance of personal development, gained valuable leadership skills and learned how to work with multiple departments at once to make our customer’s experience the best it can be. I am truly thankful for all the team members who have taken the time to mentor me along the way and given me what I need to succeed in life and in my career.
