Tell Us About Yourself
I was born and raised in Kentucky, but moved to Illinois when I was 15. After high school, I attended Southeastern Illinois College (SIC) where I would meet my husband. We have a beautiful son and have been married for 15 years now. I love to spend time with my family, and I love what I do, so work doesn't feel like an obligation! You could find me listening to the same music I listened to when I was 18 years old or some kind of self-improvement podcast.
What Is Something About Yourself That Would Surprise Us?
I was a performer in musical theatre in college while on scholarship and even traveled with an all-state choir in my teens.
What Did You Want To Be When Growing Up?
I remember always wanting to be a doctor when I was really young, but when I was a teenager, I wanted to do something with the arts. In high school, I even wanted to attend Julliard. However, I am glad my life went in another direction; I wouldn't have it any other way.
What Is The First Concert You Attended?
The first concert I saw was Hanson in the 90s.
Top Three Life Highlights?
- The day I gave my life to Jesus.
- My wedding day.
- The birth of my son.
How Have You Grown Personally Or Professionally While Working At Banterra?
Banterra has given me great opportunities to grow. I have had the opportunity to serve in several roles here, including working for the Board of Directors and Executive Management. Each role has taught me more and more about the bank and about myself. Over the last 15 years, it has helped me improve myself tremendously, including strengthening my communication skills and learning to adapt to change well. Banterra is such an amazing company to work for, and I am truly grateful for such a great place to work!
