Tell Us About Duo Boutique & Coffeehouse

We are a brick-and-mortar boutique and coffeehouse specializing in women's clothing, accessories, jewelry, gourmet foods, and home décor, as well as men's and children's clothing and other gift items. Our coffeehouse, located inside Duo Boutique, creates an atmosphere for relaxation while shopping or enjoying our upstairs area, The Loft.

What Was The Inspiration Or Motivation In Starting Your Business?

A hobby that grew into a small business was truly the result of growth and the Lord's blessing. Duo stands behind our motto verse, Luke 6:31-  “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

During childhood, we were taught the importance of the golden rule by our parents. After losing our dad when we were 15 years old, we built our lives around this life verse from him. Today, we believe in community and giving back as we serve our customers near and far.

Did You Always Dream Of Becoming An Entrepreneur?

We can honestly say our entrepreneurial journey began around the age of 12,  collecting, buying, and reselling TY Beanie Babies. From there, we started other jobs such as summer babysitting, giving piano lessons, and teaching swimming lessons. We found joy in serving our local communities and beyond as we dove into entrepreneurship at such a young age, following in our dad's footsteps.

How Has Your Business Grown Over The Years?

By the grace of God, our hobby that began in 2013 has grown into an established boutique and coffeehouse that now serves customers near and far. We strive to bring in fresh ideas and inventory to stay current on the latest trends and fashion.

What Have You Done To Achieve Such Growth?

Through business, we have learned that growth does not come overnight. Setting goals is the first step towards growth. We believe in the importance of listening to our customers. Owning a small business allows us to build relationships and friendships within our local communities.

What Is One Piece Of Advice You'd Give To Aspiring Entrepreneurs?

One piece of advice we would share with aspiring entrepreneurs is to follow what you love to do and  not be afraid to dream big. Your calling may look totally different from others, but trust that the the Lord will use the attributes you have been given, and He will direct your steps.

How Does Your Community Play A Role In Your Success?

Our community is the best when it comes to supporting local businesses, schools, vendors, and more. Shopping locally helps keep our community thriving, and for that, we  are truly thankful for all the love and support we’ve received.
